Recent Critical Acclaim Harmony Home Control, the best remote for the money. What happens is the ceiling fan light gets momentarily set to the 10% state, then it will go to wherever it is supposed to be in the next state. The Logitech Harmony Ultimate Home is the most powerful universal remote you can buy. I basically am sacrificing the ability of the ceiling fan light to be exactly at 10%, but that's only 1 of 100 values, so no big deal. Customizing home control buttons on your remote Harmony can support your Smart Home devices by allowing you to assign commands to your home control buttons. This is because of the limitation that the companion home button can really only turn a scene/device on or off (I think). I also use the Hue emulator and the Harmony Companion home buttons - there are some things that I was doing with IR directed to the ISY that are difficult to do with the Hue emulator + companion - for example, I like to have a remote button to cycle through different combinations of lighting for the room where the remote is based (ceiling fan light on/off + fireplace light on/dim/off, etc) - with the Hue emulator + companion, I use a button to set the ceiling fan light to a specific dimmer level (10%) via a scene and whenever this happens, I have programs that run based on that light being at exactly 10% - the program basically increments a state variable which triggers other programs to cycle through multiple states. ![]()
